iBOT™ 4000 Evaluation Site
Craig Hospital is one of Independence Technology’s Evaluation Centers in the U.S. for the iBOT™ 4000 Mobility System, introduced to the market July 26, 2005.
Independence Technology, a Johnson & Johnson company developed the iBOT™ 4000 with enhanced features from the iBOT™ 3000 introduced in 2003.
The iBOT™ Mobility System offers a combination of five functions:
- The 4-Wheel Function enables you to climb curbs as high as five inches and to travel over grass and gravel, through sand and across other forms of uneven terrain.
- The Balance Function of the IBOT™ Mobility System can raise you to eye level for business or social interactions, even when you are on the move.
- The Standard Function enables you to move around indoors or outdoors.
- The Stair Function enables you to take on the challenge of steps and stairways with confidence. With input from you or an assistant, the iBOT™ Mobility System utilizes gyroscopes and adjusts to the driver’s center of gravity, climbing stairs by rotating wheels up and over each other.
- The Remote Function allows you to detach the User Control Panel and maneuver the iBOT™ Mobility System unoccupied up a ramp and into a vehicle for transportation.
