Changing the Size and Type of the Font

This site uses 10 point Arial or Helvetica font for most of the text. Use the following instructions to change the font setting for your computer.

Gray bulletNetscape Browsers
If you are using Netscape Navigator to view Craig Hospital's Web site, you may change the size and type of the font characters by following these simple steps:

  • Select Edit from the file menu at the top of your browser window
  • Select the last option, Preferences
  • As shown in the picture below, you can choose Fonts in the left window of your Preferences box, and use the menu on the right to change font sizes and types
  • Click "OK" when finished

Gray bulletInternet Explorer Browsers
If you are using a version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer to view Craig Hospital's Web site, you will need to follow these steps to change font sizes and styles:

  • Select View from the file menu at the top of your browser window
  • Select the last listing, Internet Options
  • On the General tab which should appear first in the window, select the Fonts button at the bottom
  • In the Fonts window, set styles or sizes to your liking
  • Click "O.K." when finished

In most cases, browsers will have a file menu at the top of the window. By exploring the menu, and looking for keywords like "preferences," and "options," you will most likely come upon the menu for that browser which will allow you to customize the size and shape of your fonts.

Green bulletChanging Screen Resolution

This site is designed for 800x600 screen resolution. Use the instructions below to change the screen resolution setting on your computer.

  • Right click on desktop area.
  • Select Properties from drop down menu.
  • From the Display Properties box, select the Settings tab.
  • Adjust the slider in the Screen Area section to 800 by 600 pixels.
  • Click on Apply. A dialog box will open, select OK.
  • Windows will resize your desktop.

Gray bulletMacintosh Computers

  • Open the Apple Menu.
  • Select Control Panels.
  • Select Monitors or Monitors & Settings.
  • Change screen resolution to 800 by 600 pixels
